GET TO KNOW ME
My name is Carey Aiossa. I am from New York and currently reside in East Tennessee with my husband and three (soon to be four) children. I was a radar technician for the US Navy for 7 years, a government contractor working on radars and lasers for 2 years, and a peer wellness coach for almost a year. I am currently in pursuit of my master's in psychology and after that I want to get a master's in human centered interaction. Some of my favorite pass times are reading, playing video games, hiking, anything crafty or creative. I love horror movies, my favorite video game is God of War, and my favorite color is green which inspired my overall aesthetic for this site. I am excited to work on new projects and show what I can do so please do not hesitate to reach out! Looking forward to meeting new people and learning new things on this journey.

My Journey Into UX
My path to UX design began far from a studio; it was rooted in a deep curiosity for human patterns and an innate desire to optimize daily interactions. With a professional background focused on behavior, I'm captivated by how digital spaces can either fuel or deplete the mind. My transition into this field stems from a dedication to merging applied psychology with human-centered interaction.
Exploring the UX landscape further, I discovered that user-centric models have always informed my work. This began not on a screen, but with drafting technical guides and maintenance protocols designed for maximum sailor efficiency. Later, I developed practical toolsets specifically for my wellness clients. These diverse experiences solidified my passion for this field; I am deeply committed to understanding the intricacies of the human mind to build solutions that simplify complex tasks and significantly decrease cognitive strain.
